What is Hopi Ear Candling?
Hopi ear candling is a natural therapy used for many generations by different civilizations. It’s said that the Ancient Greeks used it initially for cleansing, purifying, and healing the body spiritually. Later, they used it on a purely physical basis. Though it was the Native Americans of North Arizona that introduced it to the modern world. The therapy is widely used by doctors in Europe and America as an alternative to conventional treatments such as, antibiotics, ear syringing and grommets.
How does it work?
A specially designed hollow candle is inserted just inside the ear canal. The Hopi candle is lit and forms a suction that stimulates secretion flow. The vapor collects and removes impurities or deposits. This is referred to as the ‘chimney effect’.
Sometimes the impurities are found in the condensed or lower section of the ear candle after removal from the ear, or could even work their way up to the surface 24-48 hours after.
Ear pressure is regulated by massaging the drum gently during the treatment.
A Hopi ear candle treatment is deeply relaxing, calming and a soothing experience.
